Terrepower power steering pumps are manufactured entirely from premium-quality components and are individually tested to meet or exceed original equipment standards.
Terrepower does not use adapted, converted or universal “will-fit” components. This new unit is designed as a direct replacement for the original power steering pump, ensuring correct fitment and reliable operation.
Installation recommendations
- Replace the power steering pressure and return hoses when installing the new pump. Old hoses can deteriorate internally and contaminate the system, potentially damaging the replacement pump.
- Where applicable, replace the power steering reservoir or thoroughly clean its internal filter.
- Completely flush the system before installation using an OE-approved power steering fluid. The correct specification can normally be found on the reservoir cap or in the owner’s manual.
- Inspect the drive belt and replace it if worn. A worn or slipping belt can place additional strain on the power steering pump and other belt-driven components.
- Install the pump and all supplied O-ring seals according to the installation instructions to prevent leaks.
- Consider installing an inline filter in the power steering return hose to reduce contamination and extend the service life of the steering components.
- Properly bleed the system after installation. Air trapped in the fluid can cause whining or other noises and may reduce the service life of the pump.
