When developing these brake discs, the mission was to develop 2-piece brake discs of the highest quality.

These discs are made from the finest materials and are therefore among the highest quality 2-piece discs sold on the market at any price. All outer friction rings are cast from a high copper and high carbon G3500 disc alloy. The bells are Precision Crafted from aerospace grade aluminum and then hard anodized for great looks and excellent durability.

The cast iron outer ring 'floats'on EBC's patented coils with SD-Drive technology, allowing the friction ring to expand and contract freely up to 3mm when exposed to the extreme heat generated by hard braking.

All bobbins are manufactured from é é a piece of stainless steel. This prevents unsightly corrosion and ensures that the Outer Ring remains free to float even after years of exposure to the elements. This means that EBC Racing's 2-piece floating discs offer a low-maintenance solution that is at home on public roads as well as on the track. Each spool location also features an anti-ratchet spring clamp, meaning these discs are completely silent in use and do not have the 'off brake disc ratchet' that plagues many other full race 2-piece disc systems.

Upgrading to an EBC 2-piece disc will shave crucial pounds off a vehicle's unsprung rotational mass, leading to sharper cornering, improved tire handling, lower fuel consumption and an increase in BHP on the wheels. Best of all, when the cast iron friction ring wears out after a period of Use, Only the outer ring can be replaced, which can reuse the middle hub and stainless steel coils, thereby reducing operating costs in the long term.
