Electric Visco clutch 2500/3500 Cummins 03/04
The ECM / PCM signal controls the level of the clutch of the EV. an internal soleno Ï de opens a spring-loaded valve that allows silicone drive fluid to flow from the storage reservoir to the working area of the unit that drives the clutch. This engagement process is ultimately controlled via the ECM / PCM by the following input variables: coolant temperature, intake manifold temperature, transmission oil temperature, air conditioning pressure, and engine oil temperature. These variables are manufacturer specific and the fan speed is determined based on the required cooling level. Refer to the specifications of the original equipment to determine which set of variables applies to your vehicle.
