The Timken SENSOR-PAC bearing is a bolt-on wheel bearing package with an integral sensor system design to improve the performance of anti - lock braking and traction control systems.

Design attributes:

• Features an active sensor that can detect up to zero speed. The speed information of the sensor can be used for vehicle dynamics control systems, speed control, speedometer, odometer, trip computer and other purposes;
• Internally mounted sensor protects against the elements, which ultimately reduces warranty costs. SENSOR-PAC also uses very small sensor-to-target wheel distances, allowing for a much smaller and more cost-effective sensor. Includes an internally mounted sensor that protects against dirt, corrosion, thermal shock and other hazards that externally mounted sensors;
• Designed for superior performance in a minimal space;
• Timken engineers packed the sensor into the bearing without increasing the overall dimensions to promote high performance and an even load capacity in a minimal space.
