| MODERN Compared to the original 2stroke which used huge and powerful Cree XHP50 LED chips, the updated 2.0 version now uses the latest and greatest Z ES chips from Philips Lumileds.their small footprint ensures maximum lumen density and precision perfection when it comes to the lamps ' ability to reproduce the output of the original halogen lamps they replace.many other LED fog lights now use small LED chips arranged in a row, but nothing compares to the Philips Z ES. | PRETTY COOL Heat management is crucial for lumen maintenance and reliability. The internally opposed 1.5 mm copper plates of the 2Stroke lamp extract as much heat as possible from the area around the LED chips and pass it on to the radiator at the back of the lamp. The radiator housing made of één piece is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum and hides a magnetic floating fan inside. This is the most compact way to get a --effective yet compact cooling system |
due to the additional depth of most LED bulbs, they do not fit fog lights with solid plastic caps on the back.the 2Stroke 2.0 is undoubtedly one of the most compact (yet actively cooled) LED bulbs on the market.Morimoto paid a lot of attention to this during development, and it's not such an easy task given the need to balance the size, power supply to the LED chips, and thermal management to keep them operating within safe range.
