One of the challenges with a Gen III Hemi-swap is getting the factory Dynamo to work correctly. The factory ECU is required to drive (power) the Mopar factory Dynamo, but you may not want to use that ECU because it is designed for a production vehicle with security and other factory functions (making it inconvenient to use it in an engine change on a vehicle that did not come with the Gen III Hemi engine from the factory). This special alternator is intended for use with the factory Truck accessory drive system (2003 &up 5.7 L and 2011 &up 6.4 L Gen III Hemi engines), but is easy to connect and works without the factory ECU. Natural cast aluminum finish for a standard look that matches the other factory accessories.
