During the process of releasing crankcase pressure through your intake tract, large amounts of oil, in the form of vapors, can collect/accumulate in your intake manifold, intake manifold guides, and even dilute your gas, causing the octane rating to drop. This happens on all engines and is even worse on forced induction vehicles (supercharged and turbocharged) as crankcase pressure increases. To combat this, an oil separator has been developed. Milled from solid billet aluminum, this is a rock-solid piece. It has a knurled tank base for easy removal to drain the used oil and an O-ring seal to prevent leaks.

Filtering consists of a fine mesh stainless steel screen that captures fine oil vapors and releases them if they are heavy enough to fall. They then pass through a 1/2 "thick 1/16" aluminum honeycomb filter where they get bigger and bigger and then fall to the bottom. By the time the oil is through the filter, it is too heavy to be passed through the inlet. The tank contains 3 oz of liquid, although that may not seem like much, you shouldn't see that much oil in your PCV system. Drain it every 2000-3000 miles and you will never get it close to filling.
